Supervision

I provide professional supervision to mental health professionals who are seeking input into their counselling and psychotherapy treatment of clients and understand their own personal experiences in the treatment process. The process is aimed at assisting the clinician reflect upon and objectively review their work and its effectiveness in a non-judgemental environment. The process includes identifying areas of professional growth and skills development in tandem with understanding how their work impacts upon their own capacity to problem solve and make decisions.  Clinical work does often contribute to feelings of “stuckness” and struggles with competency particularly if it is in a one on one counselling environment where others are not able to provide real time feedback. Supervision explores professional and personal development in a relaxed professional environment that is ethical and value driven to improve the clinician’s self-care and the growth of clients. I work collaboratively with the supervisee setting professional development goals and regularly reviewing their process and progress.
